Cooley advised io Products, an engineering and product manufacturing company co-founded by Jony Ive to develop, engineer and manufacture a new family of products for the artificial general intelligence era, on its approximately $6.5 billion acquisition by OpenAI. As part of the deal, Ive and his creative collective, LoveFrom, will assume deep design and creative responsibilities across OpenAI. 

Cooley advised Kudu Dynamics, a company developing state-of-the-art cyber capabilities and nonkinetic effects against a variety of military-relevant systems, on its sale to Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers with smarter, more efficient digital and mission innovations.

Cooley advised Gimmal, a developer of information management and enterprise content management software and a portfolio company of Rubicon Technology Partners, on its acquisition by Morae Global, a provider of legal and compliance consulting services

Cooley advised Vision Government Solutions, a portfolio company of Rubicon Technology Partners and a leader in the appraisal, computer-assisted mass appraisal and property tax industry, on its majority recapitalization with Great Hill Partners.

Cooley advised the special committee of Checkpoint Therapeutics’ (Nasdaq: CKPT) board of directors in connection with Checkpoint’s definitive agreement to be acquired by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (NSE: SUNPHARMA) for up to $416 million in cash and contingent value rights.
